Our founder

Ailyn García González, or better known as "Miss Ailyn" was born and raised in Havana, Cuba. There she obtained her Bachelor of Dance and Arts from the "Instituto Superior de las Artes" in Cuba. She was named Principal Dancer of the Dance Company "Lizt Alfonso DANCE CUBA" where she toured with the company (as a dancer and choreographer) throughout Latin America, the United States (Broadway, Chicago, Boston...), Spain and other areas of Europe. She specialized in various dance styles, which makes her a very versatile instructor in Flamenco, Ballet, Contemporary, Modern Dance, Cuban Dance and Fusion Dance. Upon the conclusion of her career in Cuba, Ailyn continued to hone her versatile skills in dance and choreography. In 2005, she changed her residence to the country of Spain where she lived and worked for 10 years. She continued to receive master classes and training from renowned flamenco teachers such as; Maria Juncal, Jose Maya, El Junco & Eva Yerbabuena. In 2008, she launched her own dance company, “Ailyn Garcia Dance Studio” in the Canary Islands (in which she has trained over 200 students). In 2015, Ailyn moved to Miami where she became a proud mother of a beautiful boy named JULIAN, she has been working on multiple productions as a dancer and choreographer, and in 2019 she founded her new school INDEPENDANCE academy of the arts. Since then, she has successfully dedicated herself to teaching, but without straying an inch from the stage, as she continues with her most active career than ever.
